Rosemary Prodonovich

general manager,
The Fields Studios

RoseMary Prodonovich is a producer and creative leader who has built a career at the intersection of art, business, and collaboration — always with an eye toward elevating the work and the people behind it.

Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, her creative life began in performance, driven by a love of storytelling and the shared experience of live art. That foundation took shape at Indiana

University, where she studied Theatre and International Studies with a focus on culture and the arts. Early professional years in theatre and opera — including work with Opera Santa Barbara, Opera Cleveland, Opera Carolina, Toledo Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Chautauqua Institution, the Goodman Theatre, The Bohemian Theater Ensemble and the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival — instilled a deep respect for discipline, preparation, and the power of a well-built team. Opera, in particular, became formative: an art form where ambition only succeeds when every moving part is aligned. That sensibility carried naturally into film and television, where RoseMary expanded her impact from the stage to the screen. Based in Chicago, she rose through the union ranks to become a member of IATSE Local 476 and the Producers Guild of America, contributing to productions for FX, Amazon, MGM, ABC, Universal Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Legendary, New Regency, Disney, and more. Her work spans studio series, independent films, and large-scale productions, marked by a reputation for building trust, navigating complex timelines and dynamics, and delivering at the highest level.

Parallel to her production career, RoseMary has made education and mentorship a core part of her professional identity. She has taught and spoken at Indiana University, DePaul University, University of Illinois Chicago, Chicago State University, Tribeca Flashpoint Academy, Chicago’s Filmscape, the Chicago Filmmakers Training Program, and the Chicago International Film Festival’s CIX:Lab, influencing the next generation of creatives with a practical, forward thinking approach to their projects and sustainable careers in the arts.

Today, RoseMary is the General Manager of The Fields Studios, a media designed “For producers, By producers,” and home to the largest purpose-built sound stages in the Midwest. In this role, she supports all productions while championing Chicago as a world-class production city, blending operational leadership with creative advocacy. The position reflects a broader throughline in her career: creating environments where talent can thrive and ambitious ideas can scale.

RoseMary’s career is defined not by a single role, but by evolution — moving fluidly between disciplines and spaces while influencing culture, building systems and infrastructure, and expanding what’s possible for the artists and industry.

Known for her sharp instincts, collaborative leadership, and love of a well-placed sports analogy, RoseMary approaches production the way great teams approach the game — with preparation, accountability, adaptability, and shared purpose. Outside of work, she values time with her family and friends, finds reverie in travel, loves a thoughtfully crafted cocktail, and a truly great dining experience.
